Mmm. Wife soup. I must've done good.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Nice work, Una!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Am I the only one who quite likes the trailer music, un-Firefly-y though it may be?

"Club Foot" by Kasabian, also heard during the kind-of-cool-but-later-found-out-to make-no-sense-ski-chase scene in an ep of Smallville this season.

I like the Train Job. I don't like HoG that much, but I can't totally hate it b/c it has Melinda Clarke and Jayne gettin' all poetical about his John Thomas. It is probably my least favorite, though.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I love The Message despite all its Tracy faults because Allyson visited the set while it was filming. Not a good filmic reason, I know. But the other reason I love that episode is the funeral scene, and the music. The composer was saying goodbye to the series while the crew was saying goodbye to the fallen. The half-slow motion, the falling snow, it's all a perfect goodbye to something beloved, and I love it for that.

And I love it for the outtake of Tracy's message droning on and on and on with the crew circled around the coffin, trying not to crack up while Nathan keeps popping up in a new spot as the carmera pans around. And the cunning Jayne hat. Frozen planet-eating! So much to love, really. I'm not saying it's a best episode, nor even maybe a good one. But I love it, still.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I had Matt's reaction to HoG (low expectations that were exceeded) and Bev's reaction to The Message (love it despite it's flaws).

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Jesus, I still haven't watched the unaired episodes. I guess since I'm seeing the movie this week, I really ought to get on that, huh?

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

I just realised that I'm not going to see Serenity on Sept.30. I'll be on vacation visiting family members for 2 weeks. How absolutely bitchy would it be to say, "Hey, haven't seen you in 5 years and you in 10. Let's go to the movies." On the plus side, we might visit New York City (never been there) and see Spamalot.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesus, I still haven't watched the unaired episodes. I guess since I'm seeing the movie this week, I really ought to get on that, huh?

I was just thinking the same thing.

Officer Scenechewer

Has Richard Burgi ever been non-chewy? I guess his CSI bit wasn't too AlphaMan, but that's only because they cast him as an already ManlyMan Extreme SkyDiver.

The actor he played on Action miraculously turned into a psychobabble-spouting New Ager in a kimono once he came out of the closet.

Sounds chewy to me.
