Buffy: Where are the burgers? Riley: Yeah man, I'm starving. Cow me. Xander: I'd love to make with the moo but the fire's not cooperating.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

My least favorite episode is probably "Heart of Gold", which is way too heavy-handed. Although there is that great scene with Wash and Zoe discussing having a kid. I love when their marriage gets a little of the spotlight.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

So, I bought two preview screening tickets for Serenity this Thursday for myself and my brother, who was supposed to be in town this week, but it turns out he can't come. Anybody who's in Pittsburgh area and can use an extra ticket is welcome to it. E-me at my profile addy if interested.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

I was all set to loathe "Heart of Gold" from reading the script in advance, but it held together surprisingly well when I actually watched it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Six-word Serenity. But who won?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Gorram Feds, let's go crash Fandango!!"

Heh.

That there's trailer music. Just put there to evoke whatever it's supposed to evoke.

This, I know.

Actually, this prompts a question (not exactly spoilery, but maybe not a thread-discussion appropriate one, so... any preview-seers feel like dropping an e-mail to my profile address?)

Was the score done when you saw it? How did it compare to what your were expecting? To the series music? (OK, three questions)

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I could be wrong, but I think the music was one of the unfinished parts of the film. They used other things.

(If that's considered spoilery, let me know, and I'll take it down.)

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yes, the music in the US previews was all snipped from other pictures. The music by David Newman is still being pieced into the film.

Ah, OK, thanks.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Our lab tech reports that the Serenity trailer is now in front of Star Wars here, yay!

Might have to go wince through that atrocious dialogue again...
