Whoo! Another toaster for me. A person I only know through a friend's blog just posted that after reading me and one of my other friends going on and on about Firefly and Serenity, she and her husband got the DVDs and just finished watching them. They absolutely loved it.

ETA: Completely forgot to mention I ran into some other Firefly fans at Anime Central this weekend. The first was a couple standing in line behind me for the Megatokyo panel. I overheard the guy talking about having Serenity as his desktop.

The other was a group of three college students from Iowa, one of whom was wearing a knit Jayne hat. I sang the first line of "The Hero of Canton" as I passed, prompting his friends to cheer. They told me I was the first one they'd seen all weekend that had recognized the hat. We talked about the movie a bit and when they found out I'd seen it they wanted to know if it still felt like the show. I assured them it did.

So hurray for meeting more fans.
