I'm not a comic book aficionado but isn't the point of it to at least accurately draw the person portraying the character? Of all the covers, Book & Jayne are most recognizable. (My favorite so far is Jayne): [link]

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
Why on EARTH did the creators decided to go with the cover artist who did these?!?!
Because it's a grand old tradition of Dark Horse comics to make sure comics that are based off of shows or movies have bad cover art with unrecognizable characters?
Who's got a link to that Buffy in Vegas cover. Classic!
Wow, that first panel of that second link is absolutely hideous.
But, there will be a TPB with all the covers, right?
Yes, Adam Hughes will be doing the cover for that. He also did the teaser promo artwork for the Wonder Woman movie. Dunno when the release for the TPB is. And in regards to the covers, well it's a feather in Joss' cap for getting so many major league artists on board for this project. Tis quite the coup.
