Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I just keep getting more excited for the movie! There are many many positive reviews on Whedonesque. Soon my brain is going to explode; I'm not used to feeling giddy anticipation of anything. I think I'm going to have to basically stay off the Internet except for here and Whedonesque in order to avoid Serenity spoilers. I don't want even a teeny one! I've never been such a spoiler-phobe!

Also, I want a Serenity keychain. I'm just waiting for one to show up on eBay.

Me neither. Its an odd feeling. I don't like it!

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Having driven 10 hours to get to a theater where Presque Rien was playing, I don't feel qualified to evaluate another's craziness in regard to travelling for a movie.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

There were Canadians (ETA: in addition to Minnesotans and Iowans) at the Chicago showing last night. Not quite a cross-Atlantic flight, but still greater dedication than I have, as much as I love Firefly.

Another bit of Joss' intro from last night just resurfaced in my brain. Forgive the paraphrasing here: "This wouldn't have been possible without the fans. It really is your movie. So if it sucks, it's your fault."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Where in Canada, Kalshane? I mean, Chicago's not that far from Detroit, which is practically Moosetown.

Not sure, honestly. I know a "9 hour drive" was mentioned. Sadly I didn't really speak to any of them directly.

Tagline? What tagline?

They were from Kitchener and Toronto.

Adrian Pasdar: bringing hot (and ambiguously gay) to a new level since Top Gun.

One was from Ottawa, I believe.

I can't even.

That's a hike. Chicago is a good ten hours from TO, and Ottawa is 4+ hours east yet. Doable, but reasonably obsessive.
