The count of three isn't a plan. It's Sesame Street.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Allyson, you funny.

I fought the law and I won!

Hell, in a perfect world, we'd get long runs for Firefly, Wonderfalls and The Inside each with Tim Minear executive producing.

Hmm. That may not be Tim's perfect world however. The man needs to sleep at some point.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

And maybe Serenity isn't for you. I'm just saying.

By the principle that if I don't like the show better than anything else, evah, I shouldn't bother with it at all? Or that liking the second seasons of Buffy and Angel means that I have no taste for darkly-themed entertainment?

Thanks just the same, but I'm actually planning on being front and center at the theater September 30th with as many of my friends as I can persuade to tag along.

I fought the law and I won!

I can afford a movie ticket and buttered popcorn. It's not an issue.
I'm sure Tim's dancecard is full. But it's a funny sentence.

What if Nilly took a trip all the way to America just to see Serenity with you? Would you turn her down?

...kidding...

Seriously though, have you really completely written off the Serenity theater experience? Do you not think it's worth your time? What am I missing?

Please note: I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I'm just curious.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I'm glad that you are planning to see it, Matt. No offense intended.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Nilly wouldn't lay that guilt trip.

No, I think my planned theatre experience for Serenity is a showing at the Arclight and whomever I can gather for a panel following. I think the fans would adore it. But that's all sketchy, and even then, I'd be working the event. But I'd be in the theatre on the release date.

I'm horribly contrary, so the more pressure there is to see/do something, the less inclined I'll be to do it.

In that case, whatever you do, DON'T see Serenity! Joss Whedon is a hack and the film will be the equivalent of a diaria stained toliet seat! You have been warned!

"Does this mean there will be no Allyson, Kristen et al produced Serenity party with Hottie security guards in headsets that I will want to come down for, since I know it will be good, and have hottie security guards and other people I know?"

No. We're doing the party for The Inside that weekend.

YAY! I have a plan. In my plan, we wear suits.
