There's a whole Pirate/Ninja/Dwarf/Elf Ontology...If the bastard spawn of an elf and a dwarf is a dwelf, than what do we call the lovechild of a ninja and a pirate? And would he prefer the cutlass or the katana?

There would come a time in the child's life when he or she would have to choose one way, and either follow the pirate path, or that of the ninja. Much like how Spock had to choose the human or the Vulcan way as a child.
