Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap, Frank! That's a lot of snow.

Fortunately UMB is closed today

Aha! My mom is teaching a class there this semester, and was trying to figure out how to get there tonight.

You ain't just whisteling dixie. Last year's one big storm? We got 30+" then too. Peabody got 36". I really didn't need for Salem to beat them. No, seriously. At least this year, even though it fell on a weekend, we got the day off. Last year, the snow had stopped by midday Sunday so we ended up having to go in for work.

Supposedly it's the 5th largest snow fall per amounts at Logan.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of Dixie, has anyone seen the trailer for the inspirational kiddie movie Something Something Winn Dixie? I now realise that smiling pets bother me more than the CGI talking babies.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I saw that the North Shore got the wallop again, Frank. Tom's work called him yesterday to give the day off today (he works in Beverly). I remember him saying how bad it was up there during last year's storm as well.

Art Crawl!!!

I saw a trailer for that movie somewhere. I know I did -- although I cannot remember it at all and am confusing it in my head with scenes from the trailer to the sequel to the Mask in which the dog uses the Mask to get revenge on the new baby for stealing the attention of it's people.

Weird thing is, the 5 prior winters I've been in Salem (and most of the rest of last year), there was never all that much snow. I seriously hope this isn't a trend (either for this winter or for future winters).

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I called my parents before the storm hit. My SIL was staying there with the baby, my parents insisted.

I said, "You all ready for the storm?"

My dad said, "Oh yeah, your brother chopped wood in case we lose power and need to build a fire, and I stocked up. Milk, bread, batteries, and chicken wings."

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

has anyone seen the trailer for the inspirational kiddie movie Something Something Winn Dixie?

Yes. My main thought on seeing it was, "There's $8.50 that won't be leaving my wallet."

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Following that Charmed link led me to yet another interview wherein Kerr Smith goes on about how eager he is to be macking on female costars for a change. Though I had to raise my eyebrows at this:

"I just have to make out with a lot of women, starting with Rose. My wife is fine with that. She'd rather have me kiss girls than guys, that's for sure."

Anyone else wondering why an actor's wife would feel more secure about him having romantic scenes with Rose McGowan than with Dylan Neal?
