I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Never underestimate the fatal power of shoe lust.

I never grokked shoe lust until I lived in a post-imperialist country.

Makes me wanna go back to Praça Rossio just to get some new boots.

I suddenly have billable work to do, for the first time this week.

I have billable work to do. Unfortunately, it involves some gigantor files that take forever and a day to load, and an eternity to rasterize.

I know the shoe lust well. I buy shoes just because I love them and then have to buy whole new outfits to go with them- most recently blue jeweled strappy numbers.

I need new black boots to replace the ones I'm wearing today. I discovered this morning that the seam in the back is starting to give. Overstock has some cute ones, but for much more than I paid for these.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was lusting over some boots a while back, and told my husband that I loved them but I didn't have anything to wearthem with. He told me that obviously I needed to get the boots and then get an outfit to wear with them and I really wasn't very good at this justifying my shopping very well, was I?

Somehow, I still haven't bought those boots.

Skipping 1200 messages, so...

Something happened to lori's toes? I got the package, btw. Made my ears and eyes very happy.

Belated sympathies to billytea.

I'm back, fighting with my isp to try to upload pictures of the cutest nephew in the world. Who calls me Sair.

I think the isp is winning. Eventually, I'll have pictures. In the meantime, I have a killer headache.

Birmingham was cold, which is just Not Right. Didn't see much beyond the inside of my brother's place. Oh & the Vulcan.

My nephew is adorable. Did I mention that already? Because he is. And he knows how to use socket wrenches. And still loves HoHo (santa,) Shrek, Elmo, cars and his popaws.(grandfathers.) And sticking his finger up his nose.

Neat kid. With the entire Little People collection. It is somewhat appalling. SIL & her family go overboard on stuff a bit.

There was some interfamily friction, but we survived it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Heather, a shoe repair place can mend your boot seam. Won't solve the shoe lust, but will save some cash.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heya, sara!

While at home, I was eating these oyster cracker wiith ranch dressing mix snack things, and they must be made with crack. I can't stop thinking about them! I might have to make some myself.

I believe something bad happened to a toe of Tom Scola. Poor tomtoe.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh. I know what it's like to have an unhappy tomtoe....

I could have sworn I posted something. Ah well. I will likely have the seam repaired and continue the search since they also have some wear around the ankles.
