Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jumping way ahead to say, I love winter. Snowing and cold here, and I just came back from dog-walking in the snow, and except for the fact that she keeps wanting to stop and be all pokey and shit, no complaints at all.

Though I may have mentioned before that people at work who have to actually drive their cars this weekend don't feel the same. (Actual quote from my assistant after I gave him one too many weather updates: You...Can Go Straight....To Hell.)

Anywhoo, I'm loving this shit.

I am going to whitefont about Point Pleasant for my own entertainment, since it is bad, but I am watching it anyway. In the second episode, there is the creepiest creepy creepy statue I have ever seen. I totally expected it to kill the priest. And then kill me. So creepy. Also, I thought it was surprising that Christina is the product of a virgin birth, considering she is the devil's child. I'm also wondering if she will hook up with the young priest, since there was definitely a connection there. Also, I liked all the pretty stained glass windows. Those were fun. Also, things that I was surprised they went there with: how mean the new devil's advocate guy was to Paula's mom. I mean, evil, yes. But wow. Mean. It was awesome. Also, I was surprised that Christina actually slashed the dog. I was expecting her to stare him into submission. Not to actually harm him. Also, if Jesse is such a nice guy, and is so under Christina's thrall, he should totally break up with his girlfriend. But he doesn't seem very bright.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Alibelle is my hero, at least in terms of stacking cats.

I am a cat stacker extraordinaire!!1!!!11! I am a cat whisperer.

Actually, I just really miss my cats.

I have no problems with being a crazy cat lady later on in life, mostly because I really like cats, I like rocking chairs, and I like reading. Other people can mess that up. By, like, talking to you and stuff.

I've never gotten past level 6 , but that is ok. the tension gets way too great at the end. and it sounds like I have 12 kitties. and it seems to bother my cat.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I have returned through from my friend's birthday bash and now smell like cigarette smoke. Blergh. I have also heard enough off-key country songs this evening to wonder if I was a mass-murderer in a past life because I'm apparently paying for something. However, there was one lady who only sung once, but she completely nailed Melissa Ethridge's "Come to my Window". I was disappointed she never made a repeat performance, especially in light of the tone deaf hordes that sang a half-dozen songs each.

I think this is the first time in my life I've ever driven the tristate when it wasn't at least decently plowed, if not completely clear. The best plowed road on the entire 45 mile trip was sadly enough in my small hometown which I was on for all of 5 minutes. The snowy roads weren't too bad to deal with on their own (though I had some potholes and unplowed patches give me a bit of trouble) it was the people driving like there wasn't a ton of snow on the road (with occaisional patches of people who were driving like the roads were covered in WD-40 coated ice) that made the trip exciting. Thankfully I was able to spot most of them ahead of time "This guy looks like he's going to do something stupid. Yup, there he goes." and was able to react in time to the rest. The tailgaters annoyed me though, because there was nothing pro-active I could really do to avoid their stupidity beyond signaling and braking way sooner than I would for someone with a brain in their head.

On the season front, I like living somewhere that has all four seasons. However, I'm in the "Autumn is the best" group. 55 degrees, a stiff breeze and the trees awash in color, you just can't beat it in my book.

Europeans don't heat their houses nearly as much, either. They think American houses are insanely overheated.

They should come visit me. And bring food.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Mmm, cold shower. That lasted all of ten seconds. Brr. But I got a little wet.
