OK, I have the coolest 2 year old nephew evah!

He remembers me! Called my brother and got treated to a full 2 minutes of "SAR! SAR! SAR! CAHS !(cars) CRAYO! (crayons) SAAR! SAAAAR!" and various other happy shrieks.

Was so convinced that 6 days of me and a host of grandparents would render me invisible. Not so much.

Such a cutie. He demanded to say g'night (guhnuh) to me. Hee.

And my brother is pretty damned cool himself.

I like my family. I got good ones.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Awww. That is cute, Sarameg

I am watching the very end of this week's TAR. It still makes me happy.

Oh, it makes me very happy too, Lee. All of the above.

Considering all the irritants today, I'd still call today a good one.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So-so episode of Battlestar Galactica. The series has actually been playing in England for a few months - rumor has it that it gets really good later....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I liked tonight's ep. It put the violence in some good places. I'd say that through episode 12, it's consistently pretty good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kat's theory about selecting books for the curriculum included "spinach books" - books which are good for you because they address an important issue. Not necessarily fun.

I think also, it's not necessarily that you don't like them, just that they are so overwhelmingly good for you.

It is cold out. I wonder when I'll leave my house next? Probably not tomorrow, if it actually starts blizzarding midday.

sara, that is too cute. We get to see one set of young niece and nephew maybe this Sunday, but for sure we'll see more of 'em during our trip to Hawaii.

Also, it's blizzarding all to fuck out....

hip deep in pie

It is cold out. I wonder when I'll leave my house next?

I'm using this excuse not to go out tonight. Really I'm just old and crochety.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Cutie cuteness, sara.

Okay, I have a question about something:

Why do they leave their eggs out, unrefrigerated, in Europe? And we do not? What is the difference in our eggs?
