"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

It's overcast here, but it's supposed to get above freezing today, which shall be delightful.

This is going to be one of those days where I'm so bored that I twitch incessantly, and yet I'm unwilling to do anything resembling work to mitigate my situation.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have mad love for these almost ita-like mary janes.

No work, shrift! Write porn instead.

YAY working iPod!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thank you, Nilly. (My googling had found the spelling with the yud, and we were debating whether it was neccesary.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What's the anti-hydroplaning system?

Honestly, I am not sure. I need to read the manual to see exactly what happened, but every time I hit a large puddle of water (and as had been pointed out, there are a lot of them around), it felt like the car was working to stabilize itself, and it took me by suprise the first time.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It's bright and sunny here, but it's also ridiculously cold.

Not to mention (or maybe I will) the ginormous amount of snow that fell between Sun/Mon.

I was in Maine yesterday morning, and we had gotten a few inches, so I drove back thinking I was probably coming out of the worst of it. HA! I had to spend 1/2 hour shovelling out the end of the supposedly plowed driveway because my poor Civic has zero traction. I could smell the clutch by the time I made it into my space.

Anyway, on a happy note: HIPPO BIRDIES, EMILY!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

YAY working iPod!

It really is a Christmas miracle.

I adore the shoes, Kat.

Also, Happy Birthday, Emily!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Very cute clogs, Kat.

I was the 57th fastest solver of the NYTimes Online Xword puzzle today!

Hey, I take my triumphs where I can find them.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Finding Neverland was a HUGE hit with my Mom and all her friends (ranging in age from the 50s to the 70s) so probably a good parent choice.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Folks, I need to track down Holli. Does she still post here? How can I get an email addy?

Swouncing

Kat, these really are cute shoes.

I'd have to do a ton of training before I can start

Is it something that you plan on doing long-term, so the ton-of-training will be worth more than the current teaching job?

le nubian, maybe this will help?
