Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy Birthday Emily!!!

Hmm..... I'm trying to think of fun rainy weather LA stuff.

If it weren't raining, I'd say Huntington Gardens because they are lovely but also for the Gutenberg Bible. But in rain? Nah.

So many of the cool things to do in LA are outside. I guess because we generally have grindingly good weather.

Howabout out for breakfast then lazing around and then a movie?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

How about the Peterson Car Museum? The history of LA in cars, plus lots of gorgeous machines to ogle.

I do like the Peterson!

Too bad your parents aren't into the creepy plasticized people because that would be a good indoor activity for the day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EM!!!!!

I heard the thunder this morning, too. I was still in bed, and my first thought was -- Was that thunder, or an explosion? I should get up and check the news.

I got up and turned on the news, and they were talking about sports, so I figured it wasn't an explosion.

Driving to work today reminded me that I've been meaning to get new tires for my car for some time now. I coulda used a bit more tread. There is a fuckload of water out there, and it's coming down quite impressively. I'm very glad to have worn my Canadian gore-tex rainpants over my jeans today, and my exceedingly dorky Seattle Sombrero, but am sad that I had given my old high-top Docs the benefit of the doubt and assumed they'd be waterproof.

I am dry everywhere but for my feet.

Swouncing

I am dry everywhere but for my feet.

Last weekend, we had a pretty rainy weather here, too. I went to my parents, and in the maximum-5-minutes-walk from the bus-stop to their apartment, I managed to walk in waters higher than my ankles (the draining there is horrible - there were rivers instead of roads). I was actually enjoying the rain that came from above (I love weather), but I had to change shoes, socks and skirt as soon as I arrived to my parents' place.

happy birthday emily

I think we are going to have the usual on and off rain of the bay area winter today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's a LOT of rain! Poor rainy peoples. Yesterday at my parents' house there was like 8 inches of snow, but now it's just sunny and cold and nice....to look at from my warm living room.

I'm thinking I won't do anything today. Tomorrow I can start on the ToDo list.

Jesse will you also start and finish my To Do list? In fact, can number 1 on your To Do list please be "Finish Kat's To Do List"?
