Oh, Sophia. I don't know what to say. It's depressing that the mundane is what sucks joy from life, and not necessarily just the difficult. I wish that you could use creative in the best way to suit you, and not just to keep the supply cabinet filled.

Sophia, if nothing else, quitting to go to grad school would give your brain a chance to rest, and see what comes out of it. It's scary as hell financially, but really a lot more fun than working. And I am doing one of the most practical grad school programs possible. I do keep in the back of my head that I'm not actually committed to going full-time for two years.

I'd like to know why you needed to chop a Cadillac in half.

Oh, wow, I just got freaked out by the TV. The guy who's playing The General who deals with The President on Atomic Train is the same guy who plays Gen. Hammond on Stargate, and I wasn't looking at the TV when he started talking (he even said "Mr. President" the same way, well, and, actually, it could be Gen. Hammond and not make much difference)... and everything just went all out of whack in my head. Doesn't take much, apparently.

I came across that tag the other day while looking for web sites to help with the i discussion. I'm astonished I never ran across that particular math pun before.

I actually think that the job I lost with this lovely essay made me give p a bit on theatre. I lost it to a guy with many fewer ideas, but who everyone liked. It was at that point I realized that if you weren't SUPEr talented, that you had to do a lot of schmoozing to work. and I was bad at schmoosing.

But, although I am very good at ordering office supplies (and it is actually one of the mst favorite parts of my job -- spending other people's money! Whoot!), it is not so satisfying.

It is just-- ths beautiful essay-- a whole long paragraph on why I felt a costume designer was as suited to moving in to directing as an actor, because of how close you had to get to the characters while still maintaining a big picture approach.

Does that mean that base eight 31 equals base ten 25? It does, doesn't it? I'm kind of proud of me at this moment. Unless I'm wrong.

ETA: Sophia, my sympathies. I hope you can figure out a way to do what you want and be satisfied creatively.

Also, I skipped. Who had to chop a Cadallac in half. The theatre I work with needs a car and an RV on stage, and want to avoid chop marks, but we only have standard sized doors going in. Is there a good way to chop and weld together so that it does not show?
