Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crap, I need a cordless drill. I have one in my possession, but it is old and crappy and also borrowed. At some point, I suppose I'll have to give it back.

I really want a nice cordless drill.

And a laser tape-measure/stud-finder.

If I only had a brain...

I love those laser levels a lot. I can't justify one in any way. But they are so doggoned cool!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a DeWalt. It will be pried from my cold dead hands.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I love hammers. I have four, plus a couple of rubber mallets. Two of them have beautiful leather washer wrapped handles. I got those for 50% off when a local hardware chain went out of business.

Actually, I just love tools.

Our wings are not tired

I've got a cordless drill. Old Makita, from back when they were still making good ones.

I also recently got a laser level. Very cool tool.

I love that Makita. I'd try and lay hold of one of those, but I seriously doubt anyone who has one is willing to part with it.

It's about 10 years old now. They've not made that model in a long time. I'm gonna be heatbroken when the batteries finally die on me.

I'll probably switch to a DeWalt, although amazingly enough, Panasonic makes a great cordless drill, it's just hard to find.

Driving home now. Wish me no slipping and no collisions.

My Makita cordless drill is about the same age, and appears to be pining for the fjords, although it could just be that the batteries are completely toast. I got a Craftsman to replace it which works great. I also have a 30 year-old corded Craftsman. (Which reminds me that I lent it to Ellen S a year ago, and haven't seen hide nor hair of it since...)
