You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

But if your officemate is the sort who panics over everything and overreacts, he's likelier to be in the small group of people that does get into wrecks because of light snow and rain showers.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

What book was it? For some reason, that's sounding vaguely familiar.

It's Linda Howard's "To Die For," which wasn't too bad (she can be hit or miss).

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Our high today is 84. Also, it's sunny.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

no snow here. Lookign to be 80 today and it's already 60 now.

Good on ya, ita, for the boots. I liked Lovely Bones pretty well, except for the ending which I thought was trite, lame and so damned irritating. I hear that Prep has a similar about teens but aimed at adults vibe as Lovely Bones. So I'm interested in reading it. I think Lovely Bones will migrate to my class book shelves this year.

Alibelle, I'm about to head to University Village for a meeting. Aren't I lucky?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I usually start to panic if it's going to snow/ice, but that's because I'm in the south where we have maybe 2 salt trucks, and I have a looong drive home, so there's lots of potential idiots to get past.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Please god make it stop:

Brace yourselves: The finest musical in the world may be headed to Broadway. Mark Burnett and Donald Trump say they're hoping to bring "The Apprentice: The Musical" to Broadway sometime soon. "It's a love story,"

Thanks, Kathy! I haven't read it yet, so my sense of familiarity must have come from elsewhere. Although I still totally agree with you about Ms. Howard's style.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I liked Lovely Bones pretty well, except for the ending which I thought was trite, lame and so damned irritating

That was my thought. Well, it was pleasant enough, and then ... nothing. So I was okay with disliking the whole thing.

The guy in the cube next to me just farted. Wait, no, he's IMing me and putting the blame on the cube over. He's crafty, or just really unlucky in terms of who sits next to him.

Hahahaha. Only the luckiest people get to visit the UV. Because I had cereal this morning, I won't be heading over to get my usual Subway breakfast sandwich. So you'll have the UV all to yourself, you very lucky girl.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Mark Burnett and Donald Trump say they're hoping to bring "The Apprentice: The Musical" to Broadway sometime soon.

Wasn't this already done (twice) as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying?

"It's a love story,"

...between Donald Trump and Donald Trump.
