I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Sadly, the temp inside my apartment is lower than last night. It's actually 3° lower then the landlord is legally required to keep it.

It's warmer here than last night--that was really cold and had to have been below code. But, they basically turn the boiler off at 10:00 pm and let the radiators go cold until around 4:00 am, which is a pain at about this time of night.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I just read a paperback romance in which the hero mocked the heroine for having a pink hammer. She pointed out that at least she had one, and knew how to use it. The fact that it was stylish just added to its pizzaz.

What book was it? For some reason, that's sounding vaguely familiar.

(And then I really am going to be asleep. Because my eyelids are getting veeeeeeeery heeeeeeeaaaaaavy...)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I note that if a girl has a pink hammer, it's unlikely the boys will borrow it, so bonus points.

Timelies! It's 6F here, but it's supposed to get up to 20F here today. t pauses for cheering

Ann, that's a ferret.

Timelies!

We're supposed to get snow in DC today -- up to 2".

On the bright side, office is closing at 3 because of the inauguration. And tomorrow is a holiday, for the same reason.

Yes, I'm at work today. (Long story short for those who remember my last post in Beep Me -- Hubs' tests were canceled, so I spent yesterday finishing catching up -- gotta get over the allergy to "Mark As Read.")

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Lucky you. Hope Hubs is doing well.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had an iTunes transition from Spandau Ballet's True to PM Dawn's "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss" that geeked me out so much I must have rewound three or four times.

Too. Much. Sneezing.

I am not at a meeting I am probably supposed to be at. Oops. But I will go to it later, I think. The stuff in the early part is mostly not useful to me. Stuff later is more important. I really hope they weren't expecting me to attend.

Trust my rage

In my class right now, we are talking about whether people who murder their spouses should then inherit from the spouse. We are using the word slayer for the person who does the killing. I miss Buffy.
