Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

They are giving her a free computer to work on, because her family doesn't have one!

That is TEH AWESOME! If she ever wants to bounce ideas, she can totally have my email addie.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Huh. My father just forwarded an obituary to me for someone who died recently (age 33) and I have no idea who it is. Aside from being about my age and from the same town I can't dredge up a connection at all. A google search gets me nothing. I'm going to feel like an ass if this turns out to be someone I did know.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Heh. My boss just sent me a list of apartments for rent near work. I wonder if that could possibly be related to me not coming in to work today because of the blizzard? Hmm.

(I am looking for an apartment, and it was helpful of him, I guess. But also kind of embarrassing.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My mom: Did you know so-and-so?

Me: No.

Mom: Well, he died....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ouise, isn't most stuff closed there? Depending on your boss, it could be a cute poke at you (while being helpful), or just annoying.

Art Crawl!!!

Wow! Made it to the end of natter -- this weird week of work combined with not being home on the weekend really messes up my board time.

I hope you had a very happy birthday Msbelle!

Seefra, ita. If it was Sephora, I'm sure that the grooming would be so much better. (On Andromeda.)

I saw Nip/Tuck win their award and that was all of the GGs that I watched.

Betsy -- are you still looking for a teeny tiny crochet needle? Because I was in my local yarn shop on Saturday and asked if they carried teeny tiny crochet needles and was told that if they make'em, the store carries them. And this store has an on-line presence:

The Yarn Exchange

If you see that they have what you're looking for, I'd be happy to stop by and pick it up for you. (Therebye allowing you to avoid shipping and handling.)

Ok, sometimes email is great. And goodness knows it made possible for my mom to let me know she had to put their dog down today without becoming a sobbing mess which she'll still do later, but at least she could talk to someone now and not wait until we were all home near our phones, but ....

Great thing to read before you have to go to a meeting.

Selfishness meeting-composure-wanting aside, my poor mom. We've been expecting this for a bit, but just last night she was surprised when I gently pointed out that Goobs was almost 12. She had a nice long spoiled rotten life.

I wonder if the cats are going to freak. And who is going to walk with my mom in the morning?

Art Crawl!!!

Driving around Saturday afternoon with the radio on NPR. There was a show -- they were talking about words. Guess who was being interviewed?

Erinaceous!

I heard her on the radio w/o even trying. It's pretty good when there are at least three Buffistas that you might hear interviewed on the radio w/o trying.

Aw, poor Goobs, poor Mom. And hugs to you too, sarameg.
