OK, I think because I freaked out that ONE TIME my officemate was really late during really nasty weather (he didn't appear until after noon) I have a reputation. He now calls or emails me when he's going to be late. On one hand, ok. On the other...well, it's kind of weird, isn't it?

Exam~ma for Hil.
That crazy wind we have been having all morning? It's really brought the temperature down. We all wore our winter coats this morning, when I took Ben and Julia to school. When we walked outside, the balminess hit us like a slap in the face. When I got home, I checked the temperature, and it was 62 degrees. Two hours later, it is 42 degrees.
We are wondering if B5 Season 5 is worth it to buy, or if we should Netflix it.
I bought it, but that's because I think B5 is in the short list of great television and because it really was plotted as a novel. In novels, however, one of your characters can't turn prima donna on you and quit four-fifths of the way through, leaving you to scramble rewrites for an inadequate substitute. Season 5 does wrap up all the arcs, and it gives you "Sleeping in Light," which is a lovely coda for the series.
On the other...well, it's kind of weird, isn't it?
Well, it depends on the scale of the freakout, and maybe I'm sensitive, but if I thought that a co-worker had a problem with my lateness, I'd try to smooth things over and be proactive to not get freaked out on again. that's just me though, I may be over-sensitive and conflict avoidant.

heh. I will say no more so's not to spoil Gud, but heh.
How long does it take for a signal to get from Saturn [?]
Right now, Saturn is approx. 67 light-minutes from Earth.
If you say more, whitefont!
I got freaked out because I started picturing him dead or injured in one of the eight kazillion accidents that had happened that day. I'm not prone to that sort of panic usually. And that reminded me, he did used to often send out (prior to said incident) an email to the boss when he was going to be late, it's just that now he teases me with the "so you'll know I'm not dead." SoI guess the difference is now the awareness that I will be concerned if I don't hear anything, whereas before the note seemed superfluous. Or something.
Gud doesn't want to be spoiled about Saturn and Titan....
But if it were, say, a light-year away, we wouldn't know it had gotten there until a year later, right?
According to google and my back of the envelope calculations, Saturn is (on average), 0.000135 light years from Earth. That would be about 1hr 10mins for a signal to get back. The current actual distance may be larger or smaller (I think larger - I saw 1hr 24mins quoted as the current signal lag).
