Well, to be fair, Orange county was on something like the third page. Its first choice was the Boston/Worcester/Providence chunk of New England, second choice the Bay Area.
There are some additional days when the offices are closed but no one gets holiday pay, yo're supposed to work extra hours the rest of the week to make up for it.
That's really lame, IMO.
It may be just me, but I think that making Sydney's middle name Anne was a little shout-out to Buffy.
Maybe, but it's doubtful. IME, "Anne" is an incredibly common woman's middle name, both IRL and fiction. Several of my female friends have it as their middle name, whereas I don't think there's a single duplicate among the middle names of my male friends (On the other hand, there is plenty of firstname duplication).
"Ann" is my middle name.
