Natter 31 But Looks 29
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Cereal, but I was waiting until it became the 26th in the board's time, to make sure everybody is covered, because according to the Buffista Calendar, it's a triple (!) Buffista birthday. Yup, not one, not two, but three very lovely ladies celebrate their birthday today: Jesse, Theodosia, and Rayne.
Happy brthday to each and every one of them, with lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
I saw ND tonight. It was great. He was all smiles and happiness from his trip out East. I was very glad to see him.
It's true. I am smiling, and relaxed, and I can feel it all through my body right now.
Great to see you tonight Sean.

Posting from the parental computer. They have a dell, but a relatively recent one.
And it isn't 3am here! Posting to the west coast from the mountain time zone, so much less painful.
Christmas was very nice and there was much spoiling (in the traditional sense) all around. I got a pile of dvds including the Live Aid concert and a BNL behind the scenes/concert disc.
Well, it is supposed to be -33C here tomorrow and the 2-5cm forecast snow has already been exceeded tenfold, so no Boxing Day sales for us tomorrow. It will be a day for looking out at the elements and going "Man, I'm glad I'm not out in that." However, the cold weather warning is lifting for Monday, and it is supposed to be up around Freezing on Tuesday-Wednesday.
I'm going to take in some junior hockey this week (they have a great annual international tournament for under-17s) but that's about all I have planned.
Happy St. Stephen's Day All!
And a belated Happy Christmas, as my computer room was taken over for the Christmas period, and this is my first time online in
days.
I gots the shakes real bad.
Kristin, that's the best story ever.
Happy boxing day!
Happy Birthday to Jesse, Theodosia, and Rayne.
Happy St. Stephen's Day. Happy Boxing Day.
Gronk, very tired, but have been up for almost 3 hours. Have no idea why I woke up at three something, except that I was probably asleep by 8:30 last night. However, I was up 'til 1am on Christmas Eve/really Christmas morning, and had woken at 4am the day before. Basically, I'm just all messed up, sleep wise. Hopefully, there's a right-sized nap in my future that will help sort that out.
I had an enormous anxiety attack, yesterday. Usually I know my anxiety attacks and can ride them out (saying: "This is an anxiety attack, it will stop), but this time, I thought there was something really (physically) wrong. Gah. 'Twas awful, and was embarrassing, once I realized what it was. As near as I can work out, it was triggered by a combination of things. Some of it was hormonal. Some of it was that the scented candles I lit, did goobery things to my sinuses, which made me woozy. This happened while I was still uncertain if aunt & uncle, and parents-in-law were coming for breakfast or not, and I'd had a gajillion cups of coffee, trying to degronk for the morning. My poor husband, and mother were fabulous, and insisted I wasn't that bad, and that I shouldn't worry about it, and that it was all still lovely. I am very blessed by the people in my life. Must remember that, when I am allowing myself to get upset at them for trivialities.
Cindy, I hope you get a good nap today. Anxiety attacks are of the suck. I hate it when they come on because it feels like a freight train heading straight at you that you know is coming, but can't stop. I'm glad your DH and mum were so good about disarming it.
My sleep is definitely screwy. O has decided to start waking at odd hours again. I'm thinking it's either stuffy sinuses (we need to get more filters for the humidifier to run it) or another teething session (side teeth are harder to see coming in). I'm glad for the rocking recliner in his room. It at least lets me catch an hour or two nap with him in my arms. Last time it took two weeks to get him back on track.
I have decided that this is the LAST year we attempt to mold our schedules around other people. Next Christmas, the mofos are coming to us.
Plei, stick to those guns, baby. It will save your sanity.

I hate that too, but I didn't even know this time. I thought something was wrong with my heart. My pulse was fricking wild, which of course, put me in the loop of getting more anxious over the symptoms, which then worsened and ugh. I started feeling light-headed again last night, but knew it was my sinuses, and managed not to get anxious. I may have had some wine, instead. ;)
I saw where you said O was fretful. I take it he has no fever. Ear infections are a bitch where sleeplessness is concerned. That was the first thing that struck me when you said he would get inconsolable, but Ben had a bad ear infection his first Christmas, and so I think I was being transfery.

What Cashmere said. The first two Christmases of Ben's life, we continued to act as we had when we were childfree, which was basically hustling to everyone's house, so nobody would be offended. My mother finally took us to task, and said we were supposed to enjoy the holiday too, and to do whatever made *us* happy. I can't believe I get mad at this woman for petty stuff. She really is the coolest, every time it counts. Today is her birthday. Must wait 'til decent hour, and have kids call her!
Happy birthday to Jesse and Theo and Rayne!
