I reserve the right to talk shit about your country.
That probably came across more assholish than intended since I was playing rhetoric match. Let me quickly say, since msbelle has cunningly diverted the discussion into Conversation #693, that I love America and what it stood for, hold many americans dear (not just y'all) and I spend a few weeks of every year in the US. No one's foreign or domestic policy (even Canada's - gasp) is above criticism. That's where I'm coming from.
hold many americans dear (not just y'all)
!=
hold many americans dear (just not y'all)
But it's an easy mistake to make, right?
I am good at what I do, can't be denied.
LOOK! Shiny!
yes, a shooter dear, not a salad.
I am having a meeting at 4. I called it and what not. One of the participants demanded snacks, went so far as to say he would prefer homemade.
The fuck? Unless you called a meeting of the bakers' guild, he'll eat Chips Ahoy and like 'em.
What does the salad spinner do?
Spins the water off after you wash the lettuce. Which I hear some people do.
What does the salad spinner do?
Spins a salad. The real question is, why shoot one? (unless, like me, you don't like salad).
Unless you called a meeting of the bakers' guild, he'll eat Chips Ahoy and like 'em.
He's lucky he's getting fed, is what I say. Rule around here is only first thing in the morning meetings get food, and only if called by 1st VP or above.
Timelies,
Just skipped 2000 posts, then back-tracked for the VM discussion.
I also had issues with her
listening in on her classmates counseling sessions
but found it in-character. I agree with idea/hope that she'll have a wake-up call about her methods come the end of the season, we've already had bits here and there where she's seen her actions have a negative effect on people that didn't deserve it. I think she's trying to push it aside in her obsession to solve Lilly's murder but there's a reckoning coming. If not, then I'll lose a lot of respect for the show.
Veronica's character is odd. There are points where she acts far mature than she should be, but there's also times when she is glaringly immature. I think with every thing that's happened to her, she's trying very hard to act like an adult. Sometimes she does a better job than others.
I agree with those that think the
singing
was odd/gratuitous, though.
Overall, I enjoyed the episode a lot, though I wouldn't call it the best ever.
On a shallow note, Logan's mother's lips were really freaky-looking. It was distracting whenever she was on-screen.
ION, we had a trouble ticket at work that said a user's PC was making a grinding noise followed by a beep. My immediate thought was "that sounds like a pager in the desk drawer." Sure enough, it was. The department in question pulled the same thing about 5 years ago, though there was no beeping in that instance, and had been so freaked out by the noise they'd convinced themselves they smelled smoke coming from the PC. The latter has always been my default "goofy tech support story". I guess they added a new chapter today.
Also chiming in on the weather=freaky as we have both steaming snow and tons of fog here, plus the upcoming temp changes mentioned upthread.
I have a spinner thing that you toss all the salad stuff in and it spins while you hold in under the faucet. The salad result is quite nice, but extra stuff on the counter to wash. I only used it a couple times. It was a gift.
But it's an easy mistake to make, right?
Agreed. Y'all first, but there are others in my heart too. (Why do I feel like Jimmy Carter all of a sudden?)
Spinner.
