Very convincing. Makes me completely want to put myself under government control. Please take me to where you can make me unconscious and naked.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

That seems reasonable, Lee.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm mostly with P-C. I was not very forgiving of the singing, but the time lapse thing didn't bug me because didn't she have to wait until Wallace got his fake?

Sure I thought the taping counsellor's sessions was wrong, but it didn't bother me (if that makes sense).

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

but then I don't don't get LOST next week due the point pleasant pilot - which I must see.

I thought Point Pleasant was on an hour later than LOST (although given what ABC's been doing, it will run over by 1-3 minutes).

Lee? People who do nice things for other people should deserve a treat of their choice and a karma wheel spinning their way.

For example, Lee. Know what she did? Made me lose sleeping hours Sent me the most perfect present, and for no reason whatsoever other than the nice-itude of her heart: the EE of RotK. Universe, are you reading that? So there.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So should I just skip the BG pilot? esp since I never loved the original?

I was so bored by the pilot/miniseries that I left halfway through, but the first few eps of the series had me, not hooked, but interested enough to keep watching. The acting is better, and the pacing has picked up a lot.

The new version is different enough from the original (same basic premise, execution updated a LOT) that I don't think love or indifference of one will translate to the other.

[eta that I wouldn't pick it over Lost, but I'm sure BG will repeat more than often enough to catch it in an unconflicty time slot]

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Beth, they're also re-airing the BSG miniseries on Sunday the 16th in one four-hour block on Sci-Fi.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Heather -- you should spoiler font.

But she had the disk in her back pocket for a long time before she looked at it. In fact, I think she raided the ceremony and went to karaoke while it was in her possession, but before she looked.
