It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Buffy was not my favorite character

Oh, I get that -- she never was mine either. But as of last night, I actively dislike VM. I don't respect her. I think she's a spoiled brat, written like I'm not supposed to shudder when she comes onscreen.

DH I think is a bit light on judging their characters -- what's happened to Gabrielle now that her secret's out? Nothing. Susan's a moron, but I guess we're to be fond. Bree -- well, lady has some issues. And Lynette's drug habit doesn't faze me at all. I find it easier to ignore the unlikability of some of these women (I like Lynette, and might have to kill all the rest) because there's so much going on around them. There's this vortex (not Vortex) swirling around VM that I can no longer buy into it. I don't care why she's upset or searching for answers anymore. She crossed my sympathy lines, in ways I'd have to cut people out of my life for.

I eat mine with a spoon.

But not with a knife, I'm assuming -- that's what mine would have required this morning. Porridge should, in my books, be liquid, not solid. Varying degrees of liquid apply, but definitely not solid.

not sure how milk would work for the soaking, you have all that protein in milk that may lead to pudding.

And judging from the pudding I accomplished with no milk, perhaps I should stick to water. I just wanted it creamier.

oatmeal or elijah killed the thread.

I am horrified by what I just saw on the abc homepage. down at the bottom is this Casting Call area. all these reality shows soliciting for people. ugh. I hope the trend of falling ratings continues for the majority of reality.

If my reality has crappy ratings, does that mean I get to replace it with the scripted show of my choice?

'Cause I could get behind that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

debate time:

I did not watch the Battlestar Galactica pilot. If I record it today - i don't get LOST - which would be okay, but then I don't don't get LOST next week due the point pleasant pilot - which I must see. So should I just skip the BG pilot? esp since I never loved the original?

I did not watch the Battlestar Galactica pilot.

The pilot airs on Friday -- I think it's the miniseries that you didn't record. However, before the pilot on Friday, there's a 1/2 hour show that says it'll sum up what happened.

I don't think it's that tightly connected to the original -- I've suppressed those memories, and quite enjoy this new show.
