Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

"My mother told me to pick the very best one and you are not IT" (with or without the "not" depending on how drawn out a process you were going for)

Yep. Although, let's be honest, the "not" was as contingent on who you really wanted to pick as on the length of the rhyme.

I have to start celebrating National Pie Day.

My only concern is that they aren't being ambitious enough. It should be international pie day at the very least. Maybe intergalactic.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Did anyone finish off counting rhymes with "My mother told me to pick the very best one and you are not IT"

Yes.

We also learned the racist "eanie-meanie-minee-moe" thing. Which was kind of weird, as there were no blacks at all where I grew up.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Re: TAR:

well, blah. I found myself kind of hoping that Kris and Jon would be eliminated because then I would have no reason to watch the show. I find it to be quite joyless, and the uber leg over the holidays depressed me, because Gus and Hera ran an excellent leg which got completely wiped out with the artificial bunching. Plus the unpleasant personalities and the FF-ness and the J&V, which are so beyond "unpleasant personalities" that I am starting to wonder why I willingly allow them on my television sets.

And, re: the non-elim. I was kind of meh about it. On one hand, I hate Hayden. But I like Aaron and I kind of think he will give her come-uppance. Also, the fact that the non-elim came in when J&V weren't recipients makes me happy. I would melt into a puddle of rage if JV got the benefit of a non-elim round. IJS.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Very true.

We mostly did potatoes, though some tigers. Definitely not the other thing.

I will keep an open mind, P-C.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Which was kind of weird, as there were no blacks at all where I grew up.

Perhaps not weird at all, then.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Thanks P-C and ita!

Hmm. I've got the TWoP recapper saying "OMG best ep EVAH", and the vast majority of Buffistas going "Meh". I'll patienly retrain the TiFaux, but won't cry over missing the ep.

ETA: I shouldn't have skimmed the Wrongda article on E!ONline this week. I haven't in months, but now, in knowing what happened on VM, I am inadvertantly Lost spoiled.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Lilty, two more points based on ita's recap:

1) The kid who framed Veronica also had a grudge against her dad for catching kid's father, who was embezzling from the company that had cheated him out of bonuses, scandal, divorce-cakes, blah, blah

2) Logan's mom drove off in the car alone (downing some kind of pills in the process), that was later found abandoned on the bridge. We didn't see what actually happened though.

I don't blame KB for acting 24 - I think VM's been written that way from day one, and I'm not sure if there's anything any actor could do to offset that.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Regionalisms do fascinate. Up until ten minutes ago, I had never heard of Rock-Paper-Scissors being called RoShamBo, and I had definitely never heard the racist version of Eenie Meenie. Our rhyme was the same as aurelia's.

Language is fucked up sometimes.

Because I'm sick (cold/sinus infection), should I avoid any caffeine at all (I have black tea here at work)?

Maybe I'll head out and buy some herbal tea or something....
