That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, Allyson. There are no words. That's just horrific.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

That's horrible Allyson. (and an understatement.)

That poor family.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Oh man. That is so incredibly horrific. Her poor family. Poor little girl. God.

What is even happening?

When something like this happens, I am always shocked by my own taste for vigilante-style justice. I want the law to tie the shooter to a chair and let that child's family have their way with him.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oy. Random horrible child death for Christmas. Condolences utterly inadequate.

He's 40. You may not be. I actually have no clue as to your age.

Like Alibelle, I am 22.

or possibly I will be twice that come June

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm feeling that all too often, lately.

Allyson, a bit of peace to your co-worker's family. And many, many jail-house love-ins to the worthless fuck that killed that child.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I saw it on the news this morning.

Then my lead secretary called and told me she was the niece of the woman who took my old postion. She's just so lovely, and my heart hurts for her and her family.

What is even happening?

22 and 44 are two of my favorite numbers--Ben's too (whom I just hugged, extra tight, for nothing, and for everything), Hec.

...

When something so heartbreaking is so damned random, I don't know how people cope. Death is enough to break a person, when there is some rhyme and reason.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Allyson, that's absolutely terrible.

I was moping about something Christmasy happening here, and now I just feel like a selfish wench. What a horrible thing to have happen. I can't even imagine.

Also, Cindy, the farting story made me laugh a lot.

In happier thoughts, this is where I'm taking O to get his first haircut.
