Now tagless for your comfort.

I've skipped since returning to the land of electicity-having. Someone please tell me that if flea tried to fly into Columbus yesterday morning, that she made it ok. Or better yet, tell me she decided to scrap the plans and stay home where it was warm, safe and they had electricity.

Merry Christmas, etc. to the Buffistas and their kin.

information libertarian

flea reporting in to say we are at home, and hit the Whole Foods hard to get festive (did you know a cat will eat tulip leaves? we are waiting for the inevitable barfing. now that's festive!). Our family in Chillicothe is still without power, so I think we made the right choice.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I hope the fam in Chillicothe gets power, soon, flea. I'm glad you decided to stay home and get festive.

What is even happening?

Cashmere, are you off the s-list with your sister?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm still in Somerville. I realized that listening to heavy duty Christmas carols was depressing the HELL out of me, so I've shifted over to stopping playing computer solitaire and am eating lunch and catching up with the boards instead.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am also still in Somerville! I am studying for my test on Monday though.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I am back from the mall (not as traumatic an experience as I'd expected, actually) with my full complement of gifts, including a very spiffy Kitchenaid stand mixer for my brother and quasi-sister-in-law. They have a new house, and I feel they should have a stand mixer, except that after I bought it I started having this tingly little feeling like maybe they already had one. So, er, I'm holding onto the receipt and warning them before they open it. Potential embarassment level: High.

Now I have to stick the ham in the oven for my parents (who are out at the moment) and call my Childhood Best Friend who's in town for the week, and wrap presents. Oh, and shower. I should totally do that today.

(On the plus side, the flight through Atlanta rather than Detroit or Minneapolis turned out to be a blessing. I got in half an hour late, at about 12:30 AM; there were flights from the midwest that were supposedly going to be coming in at 3 AM. Ugh.)

Happy 25th, everyone. May it be a good day.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My parents want to go shopping. I'm going to drop them off, I think. I can't bear the thought. Hell, I tried to buy gas at Costco yesterday, and it took me more than five minutes just to get out of the parking lot after I decided not to join the huge line.

I scare easily, I admit it.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Present wrapping is done. My dad just called. They've arrived at my grandparents' house safely. So it's time for me to jump in the shower and head over there. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Does anybody else get unreasonably pleased when you're able to use an odd scrap of paper to just-barely wrap something?

Emmett and I just got back from playing handball. We're sweatballs. I'm eating a sandwich, JZ's in the shower. Soon we go over to EM's house, and we'll be having xmas eve dinner there and staying the night. Must remember to bring coffee making stuff.
