Matt, buy two of that bench and mail me one.

Bwah! it's way too frou-frou for most of my apartment, but the theme I originally set out to use in my bedroom was 19th century Parisian courtesan's boudior - it would look great at the foot of my bed in place of the plain wooden chair currently placed there. (Also, I have jaquard sheets that would exactly match its upholstery.) I may place it ahead of the lips sofa and a round cocktail table on my to-buy list, as the former requires me to clear an entire room rather than just a chair and I have a servicable substitute for the latter.
Oh, pretty bench!
I can't speak for the snow belt, or even the rest of New England, but the first snowfall every year here in Boston, not one person remembers how to drive in snow. It gets sorted right after, but that first day is sort of touch and go. It's better to just stay off the roads, even if it is just a dusting.

It stands here too, Cindy.
I'm surprised, Lilty. I figured Mainers were the least likely to get rattled by it. It would make me laugh here, but it's always too scary. I just spend my time muttering.
Okay, gotta go watch whispering Jack. Goodnight, everyone.
You'd think so. But it seems like first snow, it doesn't matter. Of course, I live in wussy Southern Maine. We aren't as hardcore as the northern folk.
Whoa. Watching 24 and when did Lukas Haas finally hit puberty?
Some guy named Noah just dropped by. Is this a bad sign?
Honestly, I think people everywhere always freak out about any weather that's not between 65 and 75 and partly cloudy. I mean, I've seen traffic problems due to sun glare, for chrissakes!
But it's always supposed to be 72 and sunny here! It's in the guidebook!
