It's just making it a press issue is what is irksome.
Eh. I can see where it wuld be a little obnoxious if Madonna refused to answer to anything, or whatever. But as far as publicity stunts go, announcing a name change strikes me as being a lot more harmless than adopting a Cambodian orphan, or entering rehab, or launching a rock band. (Or all three.)
Besides, it is the fastest way to let everybody know not to call you J.Lo anymore. Kind of like a wedding announcement, except not at all.

The Jerry Orbach tribute was the highlight of the episode (that doesn't need to be whitefonted, does it?)

OK, so Jennifer Garner isn't really suffering from a nasty viral infection as first reported Tuesday. Turns out the actress actually sustained nerve damage to her back while performing a stunt on Alias.
I think they misspelled "is pregnant, but doesn't want to announce it yet."

It really was nice. Just music and images.
Not to mention that through the whole episode, DH and I were muttering abotu Dennis Farina being no Jerry Orbach.
The actual epsode, however, kinda meh.
