This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Kristen, it's a reset.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Weiss has to. I mean -- the alternative bears not thinking upon.

Kristen, ignore what you think you remember. It doesn't seem relevant.

Hey! It looks like this season's setup allows pretty neatly for Sark to play too. Bring on the hodgeberry lust, I say.

I had heard that it was a reset but honestly it feels more like an AU to me. Did someone make a wish?

ETA: ita, that is wise advice. I should know better than to try and make sense of the JJverse. The JJverse makes my ears bleed.

Henh, yes. JJ wished that he didn't do last year at all.

Kristen, repeat after me: "Pretty People. Things go boom."

Doesn't JJ wish that every year?

He's like the Writer That Cried Reset.

There was no reset on year one. There were two resets on year 2 (not including the finale). Year 3 had no reset, per se, but it did have the awful Flight of Exposition which wasn't a reset so much as a surrender.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

But isn't that a *bad* thing?

yes, bad for sense-making. But on a day by day episode front, he's excellent.

ita, you want a Strangers in Paradise spoiler? Cause I ahve to share. am desperate to share.

No! Don't spoil me for SiP. I'm so behind.

Okay -- whatever they're doing with Vaughn is metling me terribly. Was that a sleeveless flannel shirt he was wearing, with a wifebeater underneath? I mean, if you add on a leather cuff, this could be my favourite episode ever.

Kristen - Jan 05, 2005 8:32:28 pm PST #3482 of 10002

It feels like he's done it more than that. Though I do think you only get one "Get out of this corner I've written us into" Free Card per series. Maybe per career.

Clearly, I'm biased regarding the reset.

ETA: ita, did I know you have Vaughn issues? Did I forget? You need to come have coffee with me one morning.
