What was one thing that you got as a gift this past year that still makes you smile?

If I were here, I'd answer that one, easily. It was the present from you guys. And I don't even mean the ticket, but what's behind it. The very notion that people who never even met me went to such lengths to doing things for a complete stranger. And then, the hosting, with all the kosher and the shabbat and all the other rules, and the way it never stopped me from feeling welcome wherever I was. I'm smiling even as I type, right now.

My favorite gift this year was the gift of Nilly.

And, also, the gift of Tom.

My best gift was seeing my kids enjoying the gifts I picked out for them. Actually, aside from a couple of gift certificates (which were really nice) from my parents, I haven't gotten any gifts this last year.

I had my first class of the term this morning. Not quite mentally ready for both school and work. But the up side is that I think I can watch the OC for credit!

My silliest Xmas gift was striped cookie monster toe-socks.

Mine was a fishnet stocking, which is on a lamp shaped like a woman's leg that came in a wooden crate marked "fra-gi-le." They tell me it's a major award.

DX, I saw the lamp in the window of a comic store on Sunday and thought of you. Then laughed and laughed.

I just got a spam from "Tracings V. Tape." All it said was "Tributaries."
