A law was passed recently in Illinois requiring the taping of all interviews for murder cases (as a result of all the coerced confessions by innocent people). Barak Obama worked on the bill when he was in the State Senate here.

Damn. I just love that. When you live in Alaska (or probably anywhere else that gets cold), California is just an incredibly wonderful place to visit in the winter. People who live here can't really appreciate it; I couldn't when I lived here. They think it's cold. But there's hours and hours of daylight, some of which has real sun in it. And even the rain seems warm. Ahhh....
