In the comics, she dies helping Daredevil fight bad guys (particularly Kingpin and Bullseye). She gets better.
I knew about the movie, but have no info on it. Not particularly surprised by ita's intel on Elektra's employment sitch. Would have been more surprised if they had gotten it right.
