We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Being an aunt is the best thing.

As both an aunt and a mom, I would probably disagree, but with the proviso that parenthood is definitely not for everyone.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Closest thing I'll have to me ownes baby, Burrell. And it's pretty fine. He's jolly. I just scanned in pics of him in a Superman outfit complete with cape. Because Auntie has fabulous taste in clothes.

He looks like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes what with the gigantic head and tiny wee legs and the shock of platinum hair sticking straight up.

And he's a big cuddler. Laughs a lot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Received, Allyson, and enjoyed.

I don't want you to move home, but I'm cheerily selfish.

I have achieved new TV. Next TV up will require a new apartment, so that's a good limiting factor.

Allyson, I know your joy. Just had a bit of that myself. Aunthood is great. Even though it comes with in laws.

If the kids who watch her see Devi, I'm always surprised. Kat, Ruby doesn't hate you. She's just a cat.

Yay Frances for figuring out petting! Dominc gets it (see the picture of him with the cat curled up) he just has the unfortunate habit of being a loud energetic child, so they avoid him. Well, mainly the 2 former ferals who were no where to be seen while all the relatives were in house. I only saw them because I was a big meanie and hauled them out of the closet.

One is soooo traumatized. They rescued Screech (she broke her voice crying when she'd been abandoned) when she was 4 weeks old after a flood and got her deticked and dewormed and fattened back up and cuddled, but even so...she freezes in terror when you look at her. Which allows you to catch her. And she's gorgeous. Think coyote coloring crossed with a tabby. Poor baby. I offered to take her home with me, cause I want to make her better, you know?

Watching a thing on a DC production called Into the Woods Jr. DC public school production at the Kennedy Center. Very cool.

Lori's very excited. I'm all, "blah blah blah rover blah blah."

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just watched my first episode of Farscape.

So far, no muppet sex.

Some of us squealed in dorky delight over our mars rover buttons....

I should retaliate and send you Hubble-foo.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So far, no muppet sex.

No muppet sex until, um. Hmm. Season 3, I think. Although there's implied muppet sex earlier than that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh wow. Must tivo Nova.

Frances just got her fingers stuck in the bathroom door. Nothing too traumatic, but she was all pouty faced and pointing at the door, as if to say, "Mommy! Tell the mean door to leave me alone!" Naturally I gave the door a bit of a talking-to.
