As good as you make those sound, no thanks.

don't knock the buckeye, sarameg!
I LOVE THOSE!! But I think that's a growing-up-in-Ohio thing.
ita, sure. we can pick up your parents. Or we can bring finished pulled pork to you and them. We're flexible like that. What are they doing today without you?
I don't think I've ever had pulled pork. It is just my inner 12 year old, or does that sound dirty?
Kat, they were made by my SIL's mom. My SIL & all her family hail from rural Ohio.
They are good. Just...rich.
As far as work-related wine goes, I got complimented this week on my wine suggestion for the office Christmas party (Martini & Rossi, for the record). My hope is that this may move my wine savvy boss toward sweet sparkling wines and away from the whites so dry that they mummify you as you drink. (Which may be excellent choices of vintage as far as those who like such tastes go; my knowledge is strictly limited to what tastes good to me.)
Buckeyes are sooooo good. There was a contingent at Worldcon trying to organize Columbus as a future Worldcon location, and they bribed voters with buckeyes. (But the Japan contingent had Japanese candy, and ended up winning. Personally, I'm not nearly as much a fan of Japanese candy.)
Pulled pork may be gotten at Redbones in Davis! It is really just pork that has been cooked forever so that you can pull it right off the bone easily and mix it with sauce and have a sort of shredded-animal sloppy joe sandwich.
sarameg, the chocolate buckeyes were a thing that got made during football season. I love them. haven't had them in an age.
Cindy, pulled pork is another way of saying shredded pork, except not super shredded. Pulled from the bone, I think.
xpost with Nutty.
My mother got seriously addicted to them. She's got the sweet tooth in the family. And will eat peanut butter from the jar, so they were just too much to resist.
I have no more willpower to continue working. Technically, I have 8 hours in and could go home. Except I just remembered that I haven't completed the re-engineering survey.
Curses.
I would probably like pulled pork, but don't think I've had it. Ribs, chops, roasts--that is the extent of my pork experience.
Buckeyes sound good. I think my hormones are to blame and all out of whack, besides.
