Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm leaning towards the 4th - 6th of February. I gots family birthdays in January that need attending. I haven't talked to anyone, though, so the 28th - 30th of January could be a possibility. I could know more tonight.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Oh, and Debet has claimed one couch, and if I actually clean this apartment, there will be a smaller couch and more floor space if people need it.

I'm claiming the smaller couch. I can also bring a queen sized air mattress for anyone that needs it.

Any of the weekends works for me. Just send me details and I'll be there!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

People, if you are swinging through Kansas City, or just the airport, don't forget to contact me, and see if we can make rendevous. I can't do any F2F's but I'd love to see people.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

How far from Chicago or Cincy are you, Erin?

brenda m - Jan 15, 2005 1:53:45 pm PST #937 of 10001
If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Quite far, unfortunately.

Assuming I make it to Michigan, I will probably have the dog with me, and thus will be getting a hotel room. (Red Roof Inns usually take dogs.) Happy to share if need be - she's big but gentle.

(Actually, the same probably goes for the Ohio F2F.)

Yeah, about 6-8 hours from Chi by car, and longer from Cincy. But many major highways run through/by KC, and layovers at KCI DO happen.

For good or ill.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Either way I'll come to Deena's thing. Maybe Steph will want to drive with me.

You betcha I will! I'll just be able to do a weekend (possibly long), though, since I have to save vacation time for my bro getting married in August -- in Vermont!

Now I'm wondering if I could arrange a signing/something for Deb in Cincy right before or after the one in Cleveland (as long as she's back in SF for Kristin). I'd bet dollars to donuts (whatever that means) that my writing school would love to have her speak.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oooh, Steph, if that pans out, can you arrange to video it? I'd give anything to attend a Deb reading at a writers meeting. That would be double awesome.

Probably just as well I couldn't be there--I might overload on happy.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Steph, will talk to writers class, writers group, book club, library reading group (the one I did over the phone with the library in MA was major fun), and would be pleased as punch to come do one. Just set it up for me, and I am there, baybee.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Dang, Brenda. I would love to have you and the dog here, but the landlord would have a complete cow about the dog. Kara's terrified of them, but that's kind of a plus in my mind.

Debet, my floor is yours! (Though really, there's a very comfy couch that's got your name on it.)
