If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Honestly, why not let some of the activites just flow? Not the things with opening and closing times attached, obviously, but why not see how it goes before making hard plans?

This is me. I'm doing Alcatraz, want to do cartoons and then dim sum on Saturday, and Sunday might do B2B and will do BBQ. Other than that, I'm resisting any firm plans. (In fact, I might drop this thread for a while because it's starting to make me tense up. Not that I don't like hearing all the ideas thrown out there, but I have an intense antipathy to overscheduling.)

Our wings are not tired.

This is by far the most I have done in advance planning and commitment. In the past I haven't done the tours so much as hang in the HS. Either way works.

Because books.

A friend told me I MUST go to Citizen Cake.

Oh, YUM. I need to do that, too.

Same here. And I've actually started to back out of stuff because I'm just getting overwhelmed with options! Staying in my jammies and communing with other jammiephiles is starting to sound really good.

I'm just going with the flow. the only things that I am committing to are the BBQ and Prom. anything else will just happen

Oh, I agree. I'm one of those weirdos who likes to make plans but also likes changing them on the fly as something shiny catches my eye. The only things I have for sure are Alcatraz, the Winchester House, and Prom. Otherwise, I like loose plans for shopping Friday, but no need to detail every minute.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Yep. My own personal feeling is that this little do is populated largely by adults, so why worry about playdates? Besides, the best, er, laid plans, etc - what happens if Bruce Springsteen wanders into the hotel lobby and says hey, anyone wanna come hang out in the park and help me write new songs? Anything can happen.

Besides, as has been pointed out, the overplanning does seem to stress a lot of people, or at least pushes the buttons. And there's a LOT to do in this neck of the woods.

Oh, if you want a fabulous fabric store, Satin Moon on Clement - five minutes walk from my house - is the bomb diggety.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Hey, bt, make sure to let me know if you guys make the trek down to these parts for the zoo. I'd be pleased as punch to join up with you.

At the very least I'll be making it to the Wild Animal Park. Further updates as relevant!

Awesome. That'll do nicely.

Hey, maybe if we're very lucky, we can find another nice restaurant who can refuse to bring me silverware or beverages!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hey, maybe if we're very lucky, we can find another nice restaurant who can refuse to bring me silverware or beverages!

And seat Cass next to the sharks!

How could I forget!

That was the only thing missing from our dinner at Corvette Diner.
