I was planning on bringing a bunch of cartoons myself; cartoon watching will probably happen one way or another.

F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
I like Brenda's plan as a lead-in to the readings which can be once we reach a critical mass of sleepyheads. We can start the cartoons early to catch the first risers.
What're you bringing Mr. Scola?
The main thing I'm bringing is Read or Die, which I've already shown to Trudy and Debet, which is a Japanese anime about a bibliophilic superheroine, and is one of the coolest things ever. If I have room in my suitcase I might throw in some Batman and/or Justice League DVDs.
I also have my eye on the Electric Company DVDs, which if I buy, I will bring along with me.
Oh, I just picked up the Animaniacs sing-along at Walgreen's the other day. ETA: And I have Free to Be You and Me on DVD.
Haight Street is close to both Chez Zmayhem and Grabien, has plenty of thrifty thrift, fun trashy lingerie shops, a discount fabric shop, some fancy boho chic clothes, and two high-end museum-quality gorgeous vintage emporia. Valencia Street has plenty of thrifty thrift, some fun trash, no high-end vintage, a hairless cat, a wonderful hat store, Good Vibrations (with the vintage vibrator museum) and pirates.
On the two occassions I've been to Haight, myself & Jilli found the stores pretty picked over. YThriftingMV. Personally, I'm all for Valencia Street as I HAVE TO get back to that hat store.
Hec, as for Saturday Morning Cartoons, why don't we leave it and the reading schedule as fluid. Maybe a few cartoons before and after the readings, who knows? We're at the mercy of who wakes up first that day, after all. Or to put it another way; What Brenda Said.
I have the Muppet show DVDs, which I would be happy to bring along in case there's time/interest.
David, I was planning on just hooking up the DVD, but it may be possible to talk our VCR away from my husband for the weekend. Just how much time is everyone planning on spending in the hospitality suite looking at a TV screen, though?
Off I go. Will post up after HICC meeting.
I would love to find some cheap, but cool, fabric. I want cartoons, the reading and the sing-a-long. Otherwise, I'll just follow other people like a sheep.
Is anyone still going to be around on Monday? I'm not leaving till Tuesday, so I was leaving Monday free to wander the Haight, or Valencia Street, or whatever. I'd love company.
I'll be around. Working a half-day, but no more than half, so I should be free by 12 noon.
