Morning, all. Pete, believe it or not, I actually only plan a few things and then let everything flow. I like the mix of structure and anarchy.
OK - today, three pip emma, I go do the big walkaround for the final HICC setup with Lilibeth and Eva:
1. I'll be confirming prom numbers (I'm going to say 55, and if there are 60, the money can be worked out, to send to Laura, who by the way has been MAGNIFICENT, as has juliana).
2. I'll be finding out what they said for the open bar time slot (I suspect there may be an ordinance that makes it 8 to midnight, but she was going to try for the 9-1).
3. I'm going to check out the prom area itself (complete with foldback doors that open up into - IIRC - four consecutive rooms, a really big space).
4. I'm going to check erika's room and her mom's, assuming it isn't occupied at the moment. I'm going to check out the hospitality suite again, and make sure they have down what we want in and out of there. I'm going to reconfirm the access for our attendees.
Is there anything else anyone wants me to cover while I'm there. Speak, speak.
We need the cloning technology functional so I can dim sum and Westchester. And B2B while doing baseball. Although I can't be all places at all time it helps to remember that I'll be surrounded by Buffistas at all times. And it's all good again.
but the thrift/corset shopping etc. are things that seem to be missing
When is this taking place? If anyone drops me a note I will add to the loose schedule on the page.
I and Joe and maybe Emeline are totally up for dim sum Saturday. We've no plans for that day and I had just planned on strolling or something. I'd love to go to Chinatown.
Huh. I could have sworn you guys were going to the Winchester. Huh
We can't-there's an age restriction. Joe's too old.
Aimee, if you hit Chinatown and make Grant Avenue your main stroll, be warned: you will be seduced into buying Em cheap shiny child kimonos and shoes embroidered with dragons.
I will be seduced! And willingly.
Oh, and I'm an idiot: in re earlier, Yank Sing is splendid. My daughter's best friend, Millo, had her wedding reception there, and the food was so good, I nearly ate myself paralytic.
Twelve courses of food, including dressed lobster. Glhglhglhglh.
But they did manage to confirm one thing for me: no can make sharks fin soup taste like anything other than recycled Pirelli tyres in broth.
Is dim sum only on Saturday? (just wondering if I can sneak it also in during the week)
Hmm... now I wanna watch cartoons, eat dim sum, and dress Em in shinys...
WHAT TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?!?!?!?
