Laura, backflung.
Deb, thanks for the info, I've bookmarked your post for when I'm a little more sober.
I am sooooo looking forward to this F2F, mainly because it will be my first official one and secondly because I am so ready for a *^%#@$# vacation.
That being said, I've been talking to teh daughter about making a run to Chicago for a viewing of
Wicked.
If any Chicagoistas are interested, fling something my way. Money would be good, but e-mails are acceptable and will be returned. ;P
Brendon is going to be in Chicago next Thursday and Friday night. Alas, I will be home.
I'm sure we could squeeze another cutie in!
Awesome! I will endeavor to be cute enough to rate floorspace.
Maybe we need to make a list of who hugs and who doesn't? Or we could wear stickers, like, WHORE FOR HUGS and PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH WITHOUT WARNING. (I'm a hugger, for those keeping track, but--like JZ--I often worry that other people don't like to hug, so sometimes I hang back when I should charge ahead.)
SA, I'm going to be around on Monday for sure.
Well, damn. Just checked on the Caltrain schedule and the last train out of Santa Clara leaves at 10:35. My flight arrives at 10:55. Boo.
Sail, then you need picking up, obviously. What's the date/day of week, again? Quite possible we can arrange to be there, especially since we feed the feral cats every two nights, and the cats are about eight minutes from SJ airport.
Awesome, Deb! I'll be arriving Thursday night (the 18th) at 10:55. I'll e you tomorrow with the flight numbers as I left my itinerary in the car. Duh. I'll be crashing with others at the Holiday Inn since I don't actually check in to my room until Friday day.
Yep, e me. We should be able to work it out.
I am both unbelieveably excited and embarassingly nervous about meeting folks. I am a hugger, once I get past myself.
I'm one of those who has to start out with just a smile, then a touch or two and then the full-fledged body slam. What can I say, I'm shy. Actually, I just grew up in a family that wasn't a bunch of huggers, so it's not my first instinct. I don't usually initiate the hug, but once I get going I'm not easy to stop. Plus, some people are just so huggable, once I latch on I'm like a tick, you have to stick a match under my ass to get rid of me.
I like being hugged, but I'm not likely to be the initiator cause I'm not good at reading what the other person wants/intends. (So hug away, y'all, I won't object in the least.)
