Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Tom, thank you for that link. I just booked my ticket and saved $50 over every other site I'd been searching! I'll be flying out of Milwaukee instead of Madison, but even at $3 a gallon to drive to Milwaukee, I'll be saving $30 overall over the price of the cheapest flights out of Madison.

Now my big question is, who can put me up for Thursday night? And is there any one willing to pick me up in San Jose at 10:55pm?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yay Fay!!!

I have a PayPal question: Does it make any difference what I choose for "category of purchase" when sending money to juliana? I tried "Quasi-Cash" first but got a warning message that I might be charged extra, so I'm leaning towards calling it "Services" -- is there any reason why any of these options is better or worse than another? The other options are "eBay Items", "Auction Goods (non-eBay)", and "Goods (other)".

Also, juliana, is there a chance that you and amyth and smonster would have extra space in your hotel room on Prom night, or are you full up already?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I always use services. No need to bring extra fees/complications into it that I can see.

Fay, I am SO FRIKKIN DELIGHTED that you're going to be able to make it, especially sans drama with your employers.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Raq, alas, you can't sub beef for chicken. The two are entirely different textures. And while marsala is sweetish to my taste buds, I really can't see retsina or ouzo as a substitute. Alas.

Sail, there's a free shuttle from San Jose airport to the Santa Clara caltrain station. The train takes you all the way into SF, for a few dollars; check the schedules at http:www.caltrain.com, weekday northbound, and see if there's anything.

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I'm going to need your arrival info - hoping you can fly into SF, but either way, ma'am, your room is booked.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay Fay!!!

I got my F2F swag - the mug is gorgeous! I got the pink T-shirt and the Buffistas.org and F2F on the back are very light, but it's still pretty damn excellent.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I missed the request for copies of vids. Um, what Nutty said. I violated the standard protocol a few years back when I didn't know any better, and I'm a lot more cautious now.

Some vidders don't mind broad distribution. Some really really really do. Given the legal liabilities they're potentially subject to, I think it's fair to comply with their requests.
