...so my immediate boss has okayed it. Which is very exciting. Now we have to see whether the lovely Men In Suits (who have thus far done little to endear themselves to me) are going to pass it.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

I'm going to cramp up if they don't approve it soon.
Come ONNNNN, men in suits! GYST!
edit: hiccough in fingers.
So, DC-istas, want to get together either pre- or post-F2F? I'll be staying near Dulles on my way in and out of the States, and was thinking Mal and I could come into the city and meet up with folks for Saturday dinner or Sunday brunch or something.
If this occurs, there will be non-Buffistas there in the form of my nephew, but he's cool. (a vague disclaimer is nobody's friend)
May 27-28 would be the better weekend for this for me.
Oooooh...That's right in the middle of the break between Spring and Summer sessions, but I think I could arrange to be here then. It would also make missing the F2F suck just a little bit less.
I didn't realize you weren't going to be at the F2F, DebetEsse. Crud.
Well, I almost certainly won't. I've got my exam at some point that week, and graduation on Friday. I do not know what graduation entails, but if my exam were early in the week, I could come, but, if not, it doesn't seem worth it (especially on limited funds), so, yeah, probably not.
Come ONNNNN, men in suits! GYST!
...apparently this year they have refused someone who's in her 3rd year of teaching here permission to go back to the US to look for jobs, on the basis that it isn't actually to a job fare. And last year they refused another chap permission to go home to attend his son's graduation.
Damn it.
