F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think you can also get tours of the Anchor brewery ... possibly with samples at the end.

You can and they do. But that might be fairly time consuming on an F2F weekend. No wait - Nora and Tom are here extra days. So they could afford to.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Does one need a car for that? Tom may be busy with conference things, but *surely* he wouldn't mind if I pressed on and checked it out myself...

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Rose's lime juice. Check. I actually know about gimlets - I read Raymond Chandler, growing up.

Not to worry; there will be a nice selection of beer.

Not worried at all. Thank you!

Heh. Nora, that's one thing about being a retired licensed caterer; I couldn't legally dispense alcohol at an event (you would not believe the flaming hoops they put you through to get a liquor license in San Francisco, with the restaurant and bar associations and unions having such a deathgrip on the industry and City Hall), but I could provide it.

So there would be fancy crystal coolers containing champagne, white wines, and local microbrews. Sierra Pale was a local favourite, back in the dot com days.

Popping in to say... boo. I canna come to SF this year. It's time I admit that to myself. The numbers are just not adding up, sadly. Ya' know - had a few unexpected expenses recently (chyah), and today I just collapsed in a fit of (perhaps somewhat hysterical) laughter (because what else are you going to do?) amongst all the papers with numbers on them. And then I did more productive reacting, fortunately. But, I digress.

BUT! I will be following along in-thread that weekend and totally want to see tons and tons of pictures and such. You know, the usual. I will miss seeing you people in person so. very. much. But I will totally be there in spirit. Mateys.

And next year East Coast? You damn betcha.

Don't wanna hit post. Don't wanna.

I'm getting the pig!

I canna come to SF this year.

NOOOOOOO! Damn. Damn. Damn. *pout*

Oh, before I forget. Brenda, I'm releasing the tentative hold Deena and I had on your room for Sunday night. Looks like we'll be staying off-site that night. Thanks for the lovely offer, though!

This lead up to the F2F is a rollercoaster. One day it is woooohoooo AmyLiz is coming, the next moment boooooo no JenP. Gahhh.

Since I haven't been able to go before, I had not paid attention to the ups and downs before the previous F2F's.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That is very sadmaking, Jen. I was hoping I'd get a chance to meet you.
