Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh honey, just noting how well (scarily well) matched Buffistas and North Beach are.

Oh hell yes. Laissez le bon temps rouler, indeed.

just a random Thank You for all your organizing efforts.

And this.

{Also worth noting is how I'm taking to bartending (like unto a duck when confronted with a largeish body of H20). I owe Deb SO MUCH for putting me in my nabe.}

I'm with Jessica on the bar thingy, but really - it'll work out.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Laissez le bon temps rouler

Heh. I like my agent's Southern sauce on that spelling:

Lassez le bon temps rollez, y'all.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think the food looks great.

I'll ask about doing a flat rate open bar from, what, sevenish? Half past sixish? until midnight.

With roughly $750 to play with, we're probably not going to be able to afford 6 hours of open bar time, but hey, no harm in asking!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Because I didn't feel really real until I had my flights, I hadn't really RSVP'd for much of anything, so...

Deb, I'm in for Prom. And I'd like to partake of the BBQ, since I'm staying until Monday.

Aquarium planner (sorry, memfaulting), I'm very interested.

Aims, are there any further details on Alcatraz?

Also interested in just about every shopping expedition that's been mentioned. Corset shopping? Interested. Plus-size thrifting? Interested. Tattoo shopping? Interested. (Although that last may be two weekends at RenFaire talking. Talk about being the last kid to embrace the trend...)

All of these being contingent on timing and either finding rides or figuring out the mysteries of public transport.

Can't wait to see you guys!

And let me echo the Yays! for deb doing all this organizing - you rock!

Our wings are not tired.

Yay Epic!

Yes Yays for Deb doing all this work. Please feel free to off load and delegate any task at any time.

I'm getting the pig!

Perkins is the aquarium planner.

Yay for Epic meetage!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aims, are there any further details on Alcatraz?

We are planning on the early night trip on Friday night, everyone is responsible for purchasing their own ticket. We'll figure out how to get to the ferry a little closer. I imagine BART will take us down there.

Locals, how accessible is it to take BART from the hotel to Fisherman's Warf for the Alcatraz Ferry?

Also, has anyone bought their tickets yet?

Aimee, BART doesn't go near the wharf - for that, you can do the really trulyo SF thing and take the cable car at Powell and Market, about three blocks east of the hotel. Does the Alcatraz tour site have anything on public transportation to the wharf? Because I'm sure there are at least eight buses, trolleys, etc that go to Fisherman's Wharf, and along the Embarcadero.
