I'm sorry. I have been trying and trying to justify attending in my mind. I thought we were going to be paying a prorated first month, but they want a full first month, full last month, and a half month's deposit. We will be paying a prorated second month. I figured out moving costs today, and that pretty much sent everything over the edge. I am going to end up having to borrowe from my mother until we get settled in, which I hate doing, so there is just no way. Enough about me though, I hope everyone has a great time. I expect lots of pictures and stories.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
I want pictures of the new apartment! Fair play, turnabout....
Nicole is sending me her old digital camera. As soon as I get it, there will be pictures.
That makes me sad, sj, though Deb is right, the apartment needs to come first.
full first month, full last month, and a half month's deposit.
Oh, ouch. But yeah, apartment comes first. We'll miss you!
No SJ! Sad now.
::sniff, sniff::
Damn allergies.
I hope the move goes smoothly, sj. I'm sure we'll catch you on the next go around.
bummer, sj.
full first month, full last month, and a half month's deposit.
Sadly, this is par for the course in this part of country. I've been lucky my last to places to just need 2 months up front, but 3 is not unusual, and if you're going through a realtor/rental agency it can be as much as 4 (usually you can get the deposit back if you've kept the place in the condition you rented it, but if you had to pay a fee to the agent, that's money gone bye-bye).
Yikes. I paid first plus $99 here, which really surprised me, but first plus a month's rent as security is more what I'm used to. Even better is Quebec, though, where any security deposit, key deposit, or anything above first month is illegal.
