I thought I wasn't either! But the admin section at the embassy helped me find a bureaucratic loophole, and my FiL offered to pay for the ticket in case the loophole doesn't work.
His price is that I have to leave Mal with him over the weekend, so it will be just me. Sorry - I know that's not nearly as exciting (although I'm kind of looking forward to a baby-free weekend...and the relief on Grandpa's face when he hands Mal back...).
DH has to go to Pennsylvania for the master's program he's in, and that will be his whole trip. We, as usual, are not managing to vacation together. And let me say that he is plenty jealous; he's a Bay Area native and was hoping to get to visit his City.

Cybervixen: There is no way we won't have a good time. If the hotel burns to the ground, we'll be outside flirting and giggling and saying, "Oooh. Fire pretty." Then we will find an all night diner to take over and will order drinks (Beer. Foamy.). At some point someone will suggest we patrol, and the Bitches will spend the rest of the evening searching for a lovely tomb with a view. Its all good. Stop worrying.
