It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

From a purely practical perspective, I'd advocate for having the bar start out open, and then move to cash, rather than the other way around. (Personally, knowing there was going to be an open bar in an hour would make me much less likely to buy a drink out by the pool...)

Sounds like a plan. Or should we just do cash, the entire way, and have them keep the tally from the first drink out by the pool? Might be more sensible to do it all one way from the start.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I just figured Juliana for the 4Am late night stumble bit :)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought the whole idea behind ordering less food was to have more money to spend on an open bar? So nobody has to bring any cash to the party?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Who, me???

OK, I think I'm confusing the meanings between open and cash. Brain full.

What works best for what we need?

Open bar means we pay a set price in advance that includes the cost of liquor, and the drinks are free at the party. Cash bar means we pay in advance for the bartender's time, and people pay for their drinks individually.

For the Prom, I think we'd be best off having an open bar for at least the first few hours, depending on how much it would cost.

Right - I had that definitely confoozled. Comes of not drinking.

Let's see if I can arrange open, start to finish, with Lilibeth. Unless I'm missing something, that seems like the most stress-free option. Sort of a "poolside from 6 pm, moving indoors for food, dancing and costuming at eightish, open bar moves right along with us" deal.

Do I have that right?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Yay! Epic, I'm excited to meet you.

Whee! Me too! This event will increase the number of 'ffistae I have met in person by three brazilian percent!

Aimee, early tour sounds good to me too. However, being the flake that I am, I'd love to insert myself into your "group." I could mail a check if PayPal fees are an ish. Or, alternatively, you could send me obnoxious emails until I get off my duff and take care of it myself. Whichev'.

That's what I figured. :)

I completely agree.
