Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, the first site I linked to WAY spendy. www.blueandgoldfleet.com is way better. Their group rate starts at 15 people. If we get up to 15, I'll call and see what's what.

I volunteer to organize it, if that's ok.

(I also promise to do a better job than I did with baseball tickets.)

Ticket is booked! I'm arriving at SFO at 8:07pm on Thursday night. Yay! And I think I might also be interested in the Alcatraz trip on Friday night, though it depends on how much it costs (and maybe also how long it is).

Hey Sparky, next time you're around here - what airport should I be looking at for proximity to my bunk sleeping accomodations?

It looks to be about 3 hours. We should have a better idea on cost if 15 peoplse say yes. The site I linked to earlier says 33.50/person, but it also says there is a $6-$10 surcharge in that price. So, I'm betting if we get 15 people and book directly with the Blue and Gold Fleet, it'll be MUCH cheaper.

Oakland is closest, but SFO is fine, too, Epic.

I think my DH and I might be interested in the night tour of Alcatraz, but I'll have to check with him. I love dungeons and prisons... just ask my DH sometime about how when we got to Venice I headed straight for the Bridge of Sighs.

Ok, looks like the group rate, is not going to be a problem. Just from the few people who have already responded, we are up to 14. And that doesn't include Joe and I. I'll call them tomorrow and see what we need to book the trip.

Cool. I'll start looking in earnest. I'm thinking I might wait til Monday to return, too. Get more value out of the journey and all that. Means I'll have to revise my request for days off. I'm already ok'd for the Fri (flying out Thursday eve), I'll have to submit one for the Mon too.

In case you missed it, you could probably make it real dark pencil that I'm pencilled in with now.
