Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

I think my question may have just missed Jess, so no telling when the first preview will happen...

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Back to the music thing: does anyone else do swing dance? Because I've been taking lessons for a few months now and it's SO much fun, and it would thrill me to no end to get to swing dance with you all. Just a thought, and it's OK if it doesn't happen; I do understand the nature of the party-mix beast.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I do East Coast. Not so much with the Lindy.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I knew how to at one time. As long as I've got someone to lead me and starts easy until I get the rhythm again, I'd give it a shot. I couldn't tell you what version I learned, just that it's a lot of fun.

East Coast is what I do too, Spidra. (Sail, that's probably what you did too, if it was fast and not too athletically ambitious.) They've been doing Lindy lessons for about a month at the place I go to, but I don't think I'm at that level yet! It looks really cool, though.

I have nothing against Lindy. I just find it harder to learn. If I ever get enough income to have regular dance lessons, I'll take it up again. Anyway, YES, I love to dance!

Yup, just a lot of moving around and some twirling, occasional crossing of hands and going behind twirls, stuff like that. None of that throwing one up in the air and then between the legs and crap. I don't bounce.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

i've done some swing, but it was part of a ballroom class and when I tried dancing with someone who just did swing it didn't really work. He could've been doing Lindy, though. Short answer - maybe, I'd like to try! I can lead or not (probably best if I don't just on height principles, letting someone spin under my arm is tough)
