I wanna die in bed surrounded by fat grandchildren, but guess that's off the menu.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Catching up...

Erin, I'm adding my voice to the chorus of those who would love to see you whenever you may be able to show up! I hope you can make it, either early or late.

Jen, oh, I hope you can come! I really loved meeting you in DC and it would be great to see you again.

Thrift/corset/book shopping with Buffistas in SF? Yes please!

(can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait!)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

lori, will you and Kat be there? (Say yes, say yes, say yes!)

This is probably as close as I'll ever get to LA, so there's a whole contingent there I want to meet--Robin and Allyson and, and, and...

And can you believe I've never actually met ita? SO not fair.

Anyway, Ginger and I were supposed to race each other to the board to post that we have purchased our tickets! EeeE! Arriving Thursday at SFO at 4:18, and leaving Tuesday at 10:00.

Also, our hotel room is only booked through Sunday night, so I'm hoping a spot of floor is available at Deb's.

The hat? Perfectly perfect. Tee by Pete? Incredibly perfectly perfect.

It's real, Virginia, it's really real!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

What Bev said. (She got here first.)

Sorry Bev, we will most likely not be there. Kat has Writing Project commitments, and I will be working ridonkulous hours getting the next robotic arm for Mars ready for delivery.

I'm sure you will all have fun enough for those who can't make it.

Well, I'm going to love seeing all the people I've met and meeting all the people I '"know," but I can't help being sad about the people I've yet to meet. So near, and... not there yet. I'll keep a little bit of hope you get a sliver of window and decide to come.

What? It could happen!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I really like the idea of having the previous F2F dates/places on the back, like a concert tour shirt.

Word. And I'm thrilled at the notion of Pete designing the goodies. (And I did like the stuff on the hat a lot.) Would it be cheesy/inappropriate to incorporate a Mr Pointy type of stake into a skyline? Or into whatever design is selected? Just for that little BtVS je ne sais quoi?

Also - Jen MUST come. Yes.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

If I could prod the hivemind for a bit, does anyone know anything about whether there are particular difficulties for Chinese nationals applying for a visa to visit the US? Wallybee is a permanent resident in Australia, but still a Chinese citizen, and is concerned that this will make a visa application more difficult.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay!

Betcha Allyson might - seems like she's mentioned handling that kind of stuff for visiting scientists as part of her day job. Don't know whether she reads here, though. Natter, Minearverse...

Aw. I feel loved. Thanks, y'all. My aim is to be there for sure. Practicalities need to be sorted, but I bet I can do it.

That hat is... wow.
